Working closely with our qualified and accredited partners, Evolve Building Control can assist our client’s in meeting the requirements of Parts L1A/B and L2A/B of the Building Regulations 2010.

Domestic Projects – SAP & EPC

A Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) calculation is required to demonstrate compliance with Parts L1A and L1B of the Building Regulations 2010.

<,p>The calculation is required for new build domestic projects, substantially glazed extensions and material change of use. A SAP calculation determines the energy efficiency and CO2 emission rate of a domestic dwelling.

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is issued upon completion.

Commercial Projects – SBEM and EPC

A Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) calculation is required to demonstrate compliance with Parts L2A and L2B of the Building Regulations 2010.

The calculation is required for all commercial new build projects, fit out work and large extensions. An SBEM calculation determines the energy efficiency and CO2 emission rate of a commercial building.

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is issued upon completion.
